Marriage Up or Down – It’s Up to You!

I got a call from a client today. She complained that her husband totally ignored Valentine’s Day. She was hurt and upset. She felt unloved and was thinking about separating.

Another client called all excited. She had told her husband that he had to treat her romantically for Valentine’s Day. She woke up in the morning and in the bathroom, found a heart of soap on the mirror, saying: “I love you.” That was just the beginning!

So what is it to be? Passively accept what is, or actively attempt to influence. My second client will tell you that you have to train your mate to treat you the way you need. My first client will tell you that she wants to be treated a certain way, without asking so that she knows she is loved.

Which way works better for you? Let us know.
